This song is fucking beautiful. I could write a fucking novel based around this song. I'm unfamiliar with Ryan Adams, but this song has me on the way to becoming a fan. "Oh baby why, did I treat you like I did. Honey, I was just a kid. Bubblegum on my shoes. But you loved me. And I loved you." Holy. Fucking. Shit. "And I just want to die without you" Seriously? He captures all the spaces in between a lifetime of love in a short 3 minute span. I like this Austin City Limits version better than the album version because it feels more honest live.
